Hi, I’m Lucy, the founder and editor of Pop Collector World, a website created by a collector, for collectors.

I’ve been collecting POP MART figures since 2020, when I came across a TikTok video featuring SKULLPANDA. I was immediately drawn to the character and the world of designer collectibles. What started with one character quickly became a much bigger hobby. Over time, I found myself following new releases, limited editions, collaborations, events, and the many different characters and series that make up the POP MART collecting world.

Why I Created Pop Collector World
As my collection grew, I started looking for information about older releases. I wanted to be able to look back at a series and see what had been released, when it came out, which figures were part of it, and how different editions and collaborations fit into the larger history of POP MART.

I was frustrated to find that there wasn’t one comprehensive place where I could easily browse the history of past releases.

That was the idea behind Pop Collector World.

I created the site to build the kind of resource I wished existed when I was trying to research my own collection. The goal is to make it easier for collectors to discover new releases while also preserving information about older and discontinued figures.

What I’ve Learned From Collecting
One of the things I’ve learned through collecting is that there is no single “right” way to collect.

Everyone collects for different reasons. Some people want to complete entire series, while others only collect a particular character. Some collectors focus on rare or limited figures, while others simply buy the pieces that make them happy.

For me, collecting is ultimately about enjoying what you love. There is no right or wrong collection, and you don’t need to follow someone else’s definition of what makes a collection valuable or complete.

That philosophy is also reflected in Pop Collector World. I want the site to be a useful resource for collectors with different interests, budgets, and collecting styles.

How I Research Articles and Releases

I research information using official POP MART sources whenever possible. Depending on the article, this can include:
• Official POP MART product pages
• POP MART's official website and regional websites
• Official social media accounts
• Official announcements and press releases
• Event announcements and event materials
• Information provided by official POP MART stores and channels

For product guides and collecting-related articles, I also draw on my own experience as a collector.

Because release information can vary by region and may change over time, I try to distinguish between information that has been officially confirmed and information that is based on available collector information or my own observations.

How I Verify Information

Accuracy is important to me, particularly when documenting older releases.

Whenever possible, I cross-check important information against official sources rather than relying on a single third-party listing or social media post. When information is unavailable or cannot be independently confirmed, I try to make that clear rather than presenting speculation as fact.

Release dates, availability, product details, and event information can sometimes change, particularly when different regions receive releases at different times. For that reason, articles may be updated when new or more reliable information becomes available.

If you notice something that is incorrect or outdated, I welcome corrections from fellow collectors.

The Pop Collector World Database
The Pop Collector World database is intended to serve as a browsable historical reference for POP MART collectibles.

I want collectors to be able to look up a character, series, or collection and easily understand what has been released over time. This includes documenting regular releases as well as things such as limited editions, exclusives, collaborations, event releases, and other notable variations.

The database is an ongoing project. POP MART releases new products constantly, and older information is not always easy to find, so I expect the database to continue growing and being refined over time.

My goal isn't simply to list products. I want to help preserve the history of these collectibles and make that information easier for other collectors to explore.

Editorial Standards
Pop Collector World is an independent collector-created website and is not affiliated with or endorsed by POP MART.

I aim to keep factual information separate from personal opinions. When I write a guide or opinion piece based on my own collecting experience, those views are my own and should not be interpreted as statements from POP MART or any other company.

I also try to avoid presenting rumors or unconfirmed information as established fact. When information is uncertain, I will identify it as such.

I do my best to keep articles accurate and current, but collecting information can change over time. If an official announcement contradicts information previously published on the site, I will update the relevant content when possible.

Corrections and Updates
If you spot an error, missing release, incorrect date, or outdated information, I’d love to hear from you.

Collectors often have firsthand knowledge of releases, regional availability, event exclusives, and older products that can be difficult to document years later. Reader feedback can therefore be extremely helpful in improving the database.
